Business management

Course Description - This stand alone unit covers the core body of knowledge relating to corporate strategy. In particular it covers:

Introduction to strategy,

Strategic aims (mission and objectives),

Analysis of strategic position (Porters forces, PEST, Life Cycle, Segmentation, Activity System

and MEDIC),

Generation and choice of strategy (BCG Matrix, SWOT, Diversification),

Strategy evaluation (Stakeholder analysis, and strategic fit).

Fee $700 plus GST

 

Financial Management

Course Description

This stand alone unit provides an introduction to financial management. In particular it covers:

      • Structure of financial reports (profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flowstatement)

Depreciation (using straight line method)

Simple ratio analysis

The time value of money (discounting)

Net present value

The investment decision

The cost of capital (weighted cost of capital model).

The focus is application to the management process within corporate enterprises.

Fee $350 plus GST

 

Tools For Excellence 

 

Course Description

The aim of this module is to provide an introduction to business excellence tools and to show how these principles can be applied to the management process within organisations.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the module, you should be able to:

Have a knowledge of the core concepts of business excellence tools

Select appropriate excellence tools for the implementation of corporate

Fee $350 plus GST
