The Academy New Zealand companies are operating in an increasingly globalised marketplace, with record levels of world demand for infrastructure development. Through the Academy's research and international links, we are aware that other countries are achieving real value improvements of up to and beyond 15% savings in costs and in time; in similar busy markets through deployment of business excellence methods often encompassing 'triple bottom lime' improvements i.e. across economic (both time and cost), environmental and community indicators. Diploma in Managerial Excellence in Construction & Engineering (DipMEEC) This Diploma is 'World Class', it: - turns home grown project and industry managers into international top flight professionals
- teaches internation industry Best Practice
- sets Clients, Consultants and Contractors developing networks together
- provides proven business tools for engineers
- provides succession planning and internal career paths
This course is aimed at individuals in the succession plan of New Zealand's leading Construction Industry players. Contractors, consultants and clients learning and developing together. The programme of training modules has been developed with NZIM. It comprises learning on all aspects on best practice and leading edge thinking on projects and business managment. International presenters are brought from overseas to deliver some of the modules and train our facilitators here in New Zealand. Candidates complete 10 monthly two academic sessions, assessments and a final project. The concept is designed to create a World Class industry here in New Zealand by helping to shape the hearts and minds of those in it's leadership roles. It is lead by industry, with significant representation from senior figures across the sector. To qualify for the Diploma, all modules must be taken and a project carried out within your business. Looking across our successful candidates we know that they are quickly delivering real value to their company's bottom line - for example: (three pieces of information have come our way) - One Client reported that generally 70% of their internal business case submissions were rejected by the management board because the authors failed to present a compelling argument - by comparison all of their peer group who had been on the Academy Diploma had won aprroval for their submissions.
- 70% of all Academy Candidates have been promoted within their own business since graduating.
- Quote of the week from Cohort 4 - "I am already using what I have learnt in changing my business - can I start my project now?" - a keen Cohort 4 student!
